Shell Kepler, the very popular nurse, Amy Vining, on General Hospital soap opera has passed away a couple of days ago from renal failure. it is reported that she was 49 years old.

Amazingly, Shell started acting at the age of nine and that means her career spanned almost forty years. It is a pity that Shell died at the age of 49, because with the advancement of medical treatment and in the United States, frankly speaking, 49 is just too young to go.

It is strange that I have been so lost touch with TV soaps that for awhile, when I heard that “Shell Kepler” died, I could not place her even though I used to watch General Hospital, but that was ages ago.

Rest in peace…..
