Just got news that blind musician, Jeff Healey, has died at the age of 41 from complications from cancer. While I have to admit that prior to this, I have not heard of Jeff Healey, his band or his music, neither have I heard of his hit single, Angel Eyes, I am in awe that Jeff has been a successful musician despite his blindness.

Granted, Jeff was not the only blind musician to make good but it is all the more inspiring to know that Jeff has lived with cancer since the age of one. Forty years battling cancer, that’s surely tough.

Sometimes when I feel that everything is against me in life, I will have to remind myself that there was someone like Jeff Healey who took all these obstacles in his stride.

Look at this photo, you can see that despite being blind, Jeff managed to learn music and guitar playing by himself, with his unique style of playing the guitar.

According to news reports, Jeff’s newest album will be released on April 22nd. Jeff leaves behind a wife and two children. May he rest in peace.

I know this post is late in coming but much as I wanted to write this, I was busy like hell that I could not even attempt to be snarky. And being snarky is the number ingredient to be a celebrity gossip blogger. Even though this post is late, I felt that this sex scandal needs a closure on my blog.

Hah… so since my last post, Edison Chen has done all the things like I mentioned in the title of this post. He flew back to Hong Kong to face the press, the fans, the world BUT only after he sought special protection form the police, including a safe house. I guess, his own house has already been rigged! By himself! LOL

In this video that someone kind-heartedly uploaded to YouTube, you can see Edison Chen in the Press conference with a prepared speech addressing the sex scandal issue that rocked the world and got out of control like wild fire. Edison spoke in English, a language that he is more comfortable with, and did not allow the press a Q&A session. Maybe he is afraid that he would break down and cry!

This is way better than sending out a video message saying sorry but not actually coming across as sorry, if you have watched the earlier apology video, you will know what I mean.

I guess now that Edison has decided to step away from Hong Kong show business, it is with the hope that this sex scandal will die down because he is now no longer a celebrity and just an ordinary citizen. Do you think that it will die down so easily? I don’t think so. Stuff on the internet lives forever, man.

Edison sought forgiveness from fans and people in Hong Kong. Who wants to forgive him? I think there is nothing to forgive if we were never his fan in the first place and moreover, we were not one of the “victims of circumstances”. On the other hand, I would like to THANK Edison and Kira for a very entertaining month! Hopefully, every month, there’s an “Edison” hahah though I will never wish this kind of situation on any one.
