When Miley Cyrus, the daughter of popular country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, appeared on the June 2008 cover of Vanity Fair, many people were outraged. They think that Miley was manipulated to pose thus for sales. Well, I think that these are the parents of Miley’s fans.

Miley, who is immensely popular with kids all across America, Canada and other parts of the world, in the Disney production of the same name and has branched off into singing as well, at first thought that this photo was “artsy” but now that this photo has been released to the public to unfavourable comments, she apologised to all her fans and now tries to be the wholesome teenager that she once was known as.

Do you think that Miley has appeared overly sexy in the Vanity Fair photo shoot? I think so. For god’s sake, she is only fifteen and was made to pose as this sultry sex siren… this looks like child porn. I have seen poses like these by adult celebrities and they were able to carry out this without seeming pornish but not this one, not this time, honey!

On the other hand, Americans mature way faster and Miley’s kiddo fans are all growing up along with her. They would not think that it’s a big deal and would even want to emulate her. That’s why, as a young role model, it is so important to do right, act right.
